Community Involvement

Jim Kacena has been, and continues to be, involved in a wide variety of professional and community leadership activities. He is President of the Board of Directors of the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce. He has served on, and was Vice-Chairman of, the City Planning Commission of White Salmon. He also co-founded a working group to explore ways to encourage development of affordable housing in the community. He is a past board member of Columbia Riverkeeper. Jim has also spoken at several professional legal programs, most recently a seminar on planning at the local level for the Washington state Department of Community Trade and Economic Development. Jim is an active member of the White Salmon-Bingen Rotary Club and several other business organizations in the Hood River area.
