Community Involvement
Jim Kacena has been, and continues to be, involved in a wide variety of professional and community leadership activities. He has served on, and was Vice-Chairman of, the City Planning Commission of White Salmon. He also co-founded a working group to explore ways to encourage development of affordable housing in the community. He is a past board member of Columbia Riverkeeper. Jim has also spoken at several professional legal programs, most recently a seminar on planning at the local level for the Washington state Department of Community Trade and Economic Development. Jim is an active member of the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce, the White Salmon-Bingen Rotary Club and several other business organizations in the Hood River area.
